This large White Buffalo Turquoise stone is set onto a Sterling Silver setting and is surrounded by a rope design. The buckle is etched with a swirl design all around the stone and has a rope design edge. This buckle is made of .925 sterling Silver and weighs 50.22 grams. It fits a belt 1.5" wide. On the back of the buckle, you can see the artist's stamp as well as "Sterling" stamp. In the Native American culture, White Buffalo Turquoise is considered to be sacred. White Buffalo Turquoise was found in 1993. It was discovered north of Austin, NV near Tonopah, NV in the Dry Creek Mine. It was not turned into jewelry until 1996, due to the fact that the stone had never been found anywhere else in the world. White Buffalo Turquoise forms when no heavy metals are present, which is a very rare occurrence.
